The nurse specialists provide a much needed contact point for ongoing support and are always willing to sign-post patients to other members of the team for more specialised support. The dieticians, psychologists and doctors have made living with this disease more sustainable. Kings uses this fund to pay for the unique treatment that they offer. Danielle is certain that Kings are at the forefront of improving the quality of lives for those with T1D.

The department is also internationally recognised and is dedicated to innovation and exceptional care. Your generous contributions will directly support vital services such as pre-pregnancy clinics, antenatal and obstetric care, a unique liaison psychiatry service, and comprehensive complication management that includes foot, renal, eye, and neurological care. They run a number of educational events including group sessions and one-on-one guidance on self-managing diabetes which help empower patients to manage their diabetes.
