Aurora's fundraiser for Down's Syndrome Association

Aurora Foxes is raising money for Down's Syndrome Association
In memory of Maureen Tyler-Moore MBE

21 Miles for the 21st Chromosome · 21 March 2026

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

In celebration of World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March 2026, we have a special weekend of events planned to raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association.

Friday 20th March: A dedicated 21-mile run will take place to honour the significance of the 21st chromosome. Completed by Aurora and Hilton staff.

Saturday 21st March: Students will come together to collectively walk 21 miles, raising sponsorships for this meaningful cause.

Following the walk, join us for a “Hilton Takeover” 3-course sit-down meal at Foxes hotel, with all profit going directly to the Down Syndrome Association.

This year’s fundraising is particularly special, as it is held in memory of Maureen Tyler-Moore MBE, who, alongside Sue Jenkins, co-founded Foxes Academy in 1996. While we support the DSA each year, this weekend celebrates both the achievements of the Academy and the incredible legacy of Maureen.

Booking: If you wish to attend the meal or support the events, please book through Foxes Hotel: 01643 704450

Let’s come together to celebrate, remember, and make a difference!
