A Message From Mum:
Today, Ava volunteered to support The Haven’s Charity Abseil event as a general dogsbody for the day, helping wherever she’s needed and cheering on the brave people taking part.
But when an opportunity came up for her to do the abseil herself (a 98 feet descend from the iconic Greenhouse at the Custard Factory), she didn’t hesitate.
This is something Ava has always wanted to try, and I think it’s incredibly brave of her to step up and do it, especially in support of a cause that means so much to our family.
The Haven is a charity that supports women and children who are escaping domestic abuse, helping them find safety, rebuild their confidence, and start new chapters in their lives. Our work changes lives every single day.
By taking part in this abseil, Ava isn’t just ticking something off her own bucket list. She’s also helping raise awareness and support for the women and families who rely on The Haven’s services.
If you’d like to support Ava’s challenge, any donation, big or small, will go directly towards helping The Haven continue their vital work.
And if nothing else, you can at least congratulate her on being brave enough to step backwards off a very tall building!
Thank you so much for supporting her.
