Story
On the 26th of May I will be participating in 2025s Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling Race. For those who do not know, cheese rolling involves chasing a wheel of cheese down Cooper's Hill which has an average gradient of over 45 degrees over its 200-yard (180 m) long length. That means for every foot a competitor travels, the slope also drops a foot. And this is why the cheese reaches such high speeds - it tends to travel at up to 70 to 80 mph.
Right now, Refugee Community Kitchen is serving around 4,500 people every week in Calais — and they need your support to keep going. As more displaced people arrive, the need for hot, nutritious meals and human connection continues to grow.
