Dearest Family & Friends

As you will all know by now, we lost our beautiful Kithy on Wednesday 25th October. That day will be forever etched in our minds and hearts as the day our world as we know it came to a halt, there are no words to express the pain we are feeling and the emptiness that engulfs us. Kithy lit up every room she walked in, she was a powerhouse of a mum and the most caring daughter, sister and wife. On 16th August 2020, Avaani was born. Anyone that had the privilege of knowing Kithy will know that she was born to be a mum and Avaani’s arrival into the world brought such love and light for us all. You only had to watch Kithy with Avaani for a short time to see the unconditional love she had but above that, the patience of a saint and the overwhelming sense of pride.

The day Kithy passed, she wrote a heartwarming status about her beautiful little girl and their journey together. This was also the first time she had publicly spoken about Avaani potentially being on the Autism spectrum, something which had never phased Kithy but instead which she had embraced. Like any other parent, she wanted nothing but the best for her princess and did her best to research and read up on what resources and support were out there to give Avaani the best start to life. In her absence, it is now our responsibility to step up and continue the journey that she had started and fulfil her wishes to give Avaani the best possible opportunities.

Anyone with family, friends or children with additional needs knows how expensive it can be to access the required resources. A number of people have also posed the question regarding contribution to Avaani’s future and so, for those reasons, we have decided to set up a fund for Avaani which can be set aside until her 18th birthday to support her future.

Kithy’s legacy will live on forever and we will make sure Avaani always knows who her mum was and what an amazing person she was. Memories last a lifetime and we’re lucky to have made so many in the short 29 years she had with us.

Our goal is to reach £10,000. If you would like to contribute, we have set up a page (link below). Please ensure you tick the giftaid option as this will not be of any additional cost to you.

We love and thank everyone that’s been there and continues to support us during this inconceivably difficult time. We can only hope Kithy knows how much she was loved and how much she’ll be missed.
