Last year, I visited Kenya for the first time, despite having strong family roots in the country. I fell in love with the country and due to the lasting impression it had on me, I knew that I had to return.

This year, I have decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and will be fundraising for Amani UK, a humanitarian charity that provides for the community needs of Western Kenya.

Amani UK's mission is to help Kenyan people find sustainable solutions to their challenges. They work with self-help groups over a 10-year program tailored to each group's needs, enabling them to move out of poverty and become self-sustaining. Additionally, they work with the community to provide better access to food, water, housing, health care, education and employment opportunities.
