We are raising funds for Maple Grove Hospital to purchase 2 CuddleCots and replacement parts. CuddleCots are soft cooling pads that allow parents experiencing the loss of their baby to spend as much time as they need with their babies in the hospital. The CuddleCots maintain an ideal temperature to preserve baby without being too cold for the parents holding them. The CuddleCots lay inside of a hospital bassinet and are very quiet to use.

Ava was born asleep at 28 weeks. After Ava's birth, we had to wait a whole day for the only CuddleCot Maple Grove Hospital had- another family was also experiencing the loss of their child and were using it. As grieving parents, it was hard to hold Ava and the ice packs to keep her temperature down. Once we had the CuddleCot, we were able to spend the next three days with our beautiful Ava. It means the world to us that with the CuddleCot, we could focus those 3 days on making memories with Ava without worry.

Maple Grove Hospital and their staff took exceptional care of us, and more importantly Ava, during our time there. As an ode to Ava, we are committed to helping parents of loss at Maple Grove Hospital however we can. With budgets and financial constraints, the CuddleCot is not something the Hospital can prioritize any time soon. The only CuddleCot they currently have is old and starting to wear out. As there is an unfortunate need for CuddleCots, and sooner than later, we are raising funds to help Maple Grove Hospital purchase these CuddleCots.
