The Mayor of Amber Valley Borough Council, Councillor Paul Lobley BEM has chosen the Derbyshire Carers Association as his chosen charity for 2024/25.

National Carers Week begins on the 10th June which aims to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

To celebrate National Carers Week the Mayor will be hosting a raffle to raise funds for the Derbyshire Carers Association. The raffle is open to all members of staff and councillors. The top prizes include First Class return tickets with East Midlands Railway, a family ticket to the Great British Car Journey in Ambergate and tickets for the QUAD Cinema in Derby.

Raffle tickets cost £1 each and are available to purchase until 10am on Tuesday 18th June 2024.

Please see a member of the Democratic Services team on floor 2 at the Town Hall to purchase tickets with cash or donate to this JustGiving page to purchase tickets by BACS, please include your name in the donation message and your tickets will be emailed to you.

The draw will take place on Tuesday 18th June 2024 at 12.00pm in the Council Chamber and everybody is welcome to attend. Representatives from the Derbyshire Carers Association will be in attendance if you want to find out more information about the charity.

All funds raised will support carers in Amber Valley.
