Avi's sprint triathlon fundraiser for Save the Children

London T100 · 28 July 2024 ·
As a father to my incredible 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son, and a husband to a very loving and supportive wife, I've come to see the world in a new light. We are immensely fortunate to live in safety, surrounded by resources and privileges that many can only dream of. Becoming a father has profoundly changed my outlook, raising my focus towards those who are less fortunate—especially children who lack access to basic necessities and are exposed to harm.
In many corners of the globe, children face unimaginable hardships, from the conflict-torn regions of Gaza, Ukraine and Sudan to other areas engulfed in crisis like the ongoing famine in East Africa. It's heart-wrenching to think of the suffering and the stolen potential of so many young lives.
This is why I've decided to dedicate my triathlon participation to a cause that goes beyond personal achievement: supporting Save the Children, with a special emphasis on their EMERGENCY FUND. This fund plays a crucial role in providing immediate aid to children caught in crisis situations worldwide, offering not just relief but hope for a brighter future. I have confirmed with Save the Children that all funds raised as part of this effort will go specifically to their Emergency Fund.
By backing my fundraising endeavor, you're not just supporting me; you're contributing to a lifeline for countless children who desperately need our help. Together, we can offer them more than just survival; we can give them a chance to thrive, to dream, and to grow in a world that acknowledges their rights and dignity.
Thank you for joining me in this vital mission. Your support means the world—to me, and to every child whose life we're able to touch through Save the Children's Emergency Fund. Let's make a difference, one child at a time.
