Story
In October, I’ll be taking an epic trekking challenge in support of Dementia UK.
It’s a very special event for me due to two reasons:
A: although I did do trekking a few times, but none of them were close to this challenge. I’ll be trekking Mount Toubkal - the highest pick in North Africa and the Arab World - for 5 gruelling days!
B: most importantly, this trekking will be to raise funds for Dementia UK - a charity providing life-changing support to anyone / any family affected by dementia.
Dementia is a growing concern - 1 in 4 beds in the NHS are occupied by patients affected by dementia; over 950,000 people are living with dementia in the UK.
Dementia UK, the charity, help families facing dementia. Their 466 Admiral Nurses provide free, life-changing support and advices to anyone affected by dementia.
All donations will go directly to Dementia UK, and Deutsche Bank will match first £1,000. I’ll be covering all my expenses.
So, whilst I prepare for trekking 5 days in rocky & tough terrain, in the high altitude of Atlas Mountains, request your support for families with dementia. Every cent / penny / paisa matters!
A huge thank you from Dementia UK and me 🙏🏼
