Story
Aviva North Region has an ambition to raise £150,000 for charity before the end of 2026. This is just one of the multiple challenges we are doing across the region to raise money for good causes. Our current total is £73,000, which is incredible and has been the result of multiple individual and group efforts, whether that be bake sales, broker events, or the proceeds from the office charity tuck shop.
This event is a special one, as we will bring together our teams from across the North region for a charity walk around Derwent Water in the Lake District - on 19th June we will be lacing up our hiking boots and walking 10 miles around Derwent water to raise money for Mencap.
Mencap is an incredible charity who provide support for children with learning disabilities, their families, and their carers. They fight for a kinder, fairer, and more inclusive society where people with learning disabilities are valued equally, listened to, and included in all aspects of life. Mencap provides vital support through various services, including employment support, social activities, and advocacy. The money we raise will help Mencap continue their essential work, providing support workers, educational programs, and community activities that make a real difference in the lives of those with learning disabilities.
