Story

We understand how important it is to support and promote mental health and wellbeing. So, Avove’s Executive Leadership Team are swapping their suits for lifejackets and paddles as they take part in our epic 2025 Charity Fundraising Challenge on Saturday 26 July - kayaking across Lake Ullswater.

This isn’t just about the physical effort—it’s about making a real impact. We are raising vital funds to support the work of our two company charity partners - mental health charity Mind, and cancer care services charity Maggie's. Both partners offer critical support at significant times in people's lives, and the funds we raise will help them to continue their important work.

Whether it’s a small donation or helping spread the word, your support matters. Please support our ELT – Mark Perkins, David Holmes, Darren Jones, Sandy Dalziel, Becky Kimber, Patrick Rafferty, Jeff Hart, Stephen Delaney and James Lawlor.

General Counsel, David Holmes, said: “This year we have decided to do something different, getting out on the water in a unique event to challenge the ELT for a day, both physically and mentally. The challenge will take the team out of their comfort zone, from desks to kayaks, paddling the full length of Ullswater in the Lake District, a distance of some 14 km. This will draw attention to the benefits of the Lakes as recreational spaces and the need for sustainable water and wastewater management in the sector that is so important to our business.”
