Alex's fundraiser for Mind

Ironman Hamburg & South Coast Ultra 100km · 31 December 2024
Suicide is the biggest cause of death in men under the age of 50, and around three quarters of deaths from suicides each year are men. Mental health isn't discussed enough amongst men!
Having suffered from anxiety and depression resulting in prescription medication for a number of years, I am inspired by the idea that our actions, no matter how small they may seem, can ripple out and create meaningful change in the world.
Through this initiative, I hope to not only make a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health issues but also to raise awareness and foster conversations about the importance of mental well-being in our society.
I am participating in Ironman Hamburg on June 2nd, as well as the South Coast Ultra 100k on September 7th as a personal challenge to support the cause. I have set a target amount of £1,200 to be raised for Mind, a charity dedicated to promoting mental health.
Join me on this journey as we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Together, we can create a world where mental well-being is prioritized and supported.
I will be donating *5% of every project I complete this year towards the cause.
*max £50 total on labour only.
