Help PCCU save lives!
My name is Aya, a picu nurse and I’m taking on the challenge of running the Hackney half marathon 2026 not just for the finish line, but for something far bigger than myself. I’m raising money for CVVH in the Paediatrics Critical Care Unit at the Royal London—an incredible place where the smallest, bravest patients fight the biggest battles every single day.
CVVH (continuous veno-venous haemofiltration) is a life-saving treatment used in critical care to support children whose kidneys are failing, gently filtering their blood around the clock when their bodies need it most.
Every mile I run is for the children who can’t, for their families holding onto hope through the hardest moments, and for the teams who never stop caring, no matter how tough it gets. Every donation, no matter how small, helps fund vital equipment, care, and support for these young patients and their loved ones—turning compassion into real, life-saving impact.
If this run can bring even a little more hope, strength, and support to those who need it most, then every single step will be worth it.
