Volunteering Day · 24 October 2024

We open Monday to Friday providing hot meals to 550+ individuals. All our guests experience a warm, welcoming, safe and secure environment supported by an amazing team of volunteers. At the HUB we're constantly looking for help:volunteers, donating items or online donations, we appreciate any gift!

Story

At Liberty Global, we believe in giving back to the community. The LSS Apprentices are leading by example, dedicating their Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. We have collaborated with The Immanuel Project, a local organisation based in Bradford, committed to supporting the homeless and vulnerable.

Throughout the day, our apprentices will be hands-on, starting with serving breakfast and brunch to those in need—a warm meal that can make all the difference. They’ll also roll up their sleeves and join the charity’s baking workshop, where they’ll bake treats alongside the charity’s users, bringing a sense of joy and creativity.

Beyond serving meals, our apprentices will help the charity expand its reach by assisting with the listing of pre-loved items on platforms like Vinted and eBay, helping raise vital funds for the organization. They'll also contribute by applying their skills to assist with the Charity's marketing and digital projects.

As we approach the colder months, we are especially excited to assist The Immanuel Project in their Christmas Donation Appeal, an essential campaign to provide extra support to their guests during the winter.

Together, we can ensure that those in need receive the warmth, dignity, and hope they deserve.
