Story
This year I've chosen to go for a 52.4 mile run around Stockholm and Berlin, to support the life changing work that Save The Children do around the world and help children in the world, who purely down to chance, were born into more challenging conditions than we were.
Why have I chosen this questionable life choice, with a dodgy knee and odd ankle?
It can be easy to feel powerless when you see and hear of the hardship and inequality that goes on around the world, especially in our future generations, but by donating whatever you can to my cause you'll be making a real impact by supporting Save The Children continue in their mission of transforming lives. They reach children in the world's most dangerous and forgotten places, providing protection, education, healthcare, and hope when all seems lost.
We often feel helpless scrolling through devastating news about children suffering globally. But here's your chance to actually do something about it. Your donation—whether £5 or £500—directly powers Save The Children's life-saving work in over 100 countries.
And yes, your contribution will also financially obligate me to drag my protesting body across both finish lines instead of surrendering to the siren call of Swedish cinnamon buns or German schnitzel midway through.
Thank you for supporting both my questionable marathon ambitions and this truly worthy cause.
