A double bill fundraiser for National youth charity Onside: Ben and Will Walgate will be running 10K on Sunday and then Ben will be tackling his first Triathlon on the 6th of July.

Horizon Youth Zone is a youth centre in Grimsby being constructed as part of a network of such centres which are part of the Onside Charity. Horizon will be dedicated to providing North East Lincolnshire’s young people with the opportunity to discover their passion and their purpose. Located in the centre of Grimsby, Horizon will be a safe, inclusive and vibrant space, providing over 20 fun and engaging activities every session for thousands of young people. These funds will help support the construction and running of this fantastic facility.

Born and Educated in Grimsby, Ben has embarking on two challenges. The first challenge, which he will be doing with his son William (15) will be the Orsted 10K in Grimsby on the 2nd of June. The second activity will be his maiden Triathlon. Training began 6 weeks ago and learning how to race competitively has started in earnest. Ben will be aiming to post a competetive time in this Olympic distance tri on the Pembrokeshie coast. The event includes a 1500 sea swim, 42km bike ride and a 10km run.
