70 mile Adventure Mountain Challenge
Arron Sparks is attempting a 70 mile mountaineering-running challenge, fundraising for Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team.
Dundonnell Mountian Rescue Team help folk who get into bother in remote mountains in a vast area of the Highlands. I want to help raise money for the team by undertaking an ambitious winter adventure. I'd really appreciate any support you can offer.
Mountain Rescue is run by volunteers and your donation will help save lives.
Arron Sparks will run 70 miles between Dundonnell and Dingwall Rescue Bases visiting 13 Munros, crossing rivers and negotiates knife edge snowy ridges along the way.
Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team is run by volunteers who are available 24/7, 365 days a year to anyone in difficulty on hills, mountains, crags, and gorges. Their vast area covers over 2,600 square miles and includes some of the most remote and challenging terrain on mainland Britain.
The linear route crosses Scotland visiting 5 mountain ranges, including some of the most remote and challenging peaks on mainland Britain. The route takes in classic winter scrambles, up gullies, along ridges, across rivers and over mountains. And includes a good measure of quintessential Scottish bog.

Arron is a passionate hill runner, friendly Winter Mountain Leader and keen Mountain Rescue trainee who stays in Dingwall. Arron spends much of his time running and climbing in his local hills and loves being out in nature and exploring.
Through WinterSkills.Scot Arron holds specialised winter skills courses for runners who want to experience mountains in winter and become capable, independent and responsible winter mountain-goers.
Arron wants to complete this challenge to see what’s possible on a winter running adventure in Scotland, to experience his local environment in a new way and to raise money for Dundonnell Mountian Rescue Team.
