Bailey's fundraiser for The Children's Society

Next year, I’ll be running the London Marathon… 42.2 kilometres through one of the world’s most iconic cities. But for me, this journey is about so much more than just crossing a finish line.
I’m running for The Children’s Society, a charity that fights for the hope and happiness of young people facing abuse, neglect, poverty, and serious mental health struggles. This cause is incredibly close to my heart.
Growing up, I faced battles no child or teenager should have to face alone. I struggled deeply with my mental health, and I carried that pain with me into my young adult years. Those were some of the hardest times of my life…I ended up in dark places I never thought I’d get out of. I know what it’s like to suffer in silence, to carry invisible pain, and to feel completely lost with no idea where to turn.
I found the support I needed through sports, family and friends, but so many young people aren’t as fortunate. That’s why I’m running…for the children and teenagers or anyone who is still struggling and fighting…and on a deeper level, I’m running for my younger self.
And I’m sharing my story because it’s something that needs to be spoken about more. Too many people feel ashamed or alone in their struggles. I remind others that there’s no shame in needing help.
I’m running for the 8 year old lying awake at night, scared and confused.
For the 15 year old putting on a brave face while breaking inside.
For the 18 year old who feels like they’re supposed to have it all figured out, while quietly struggling just to hold it together.
The Children’s Society is there when no one else is, offering emotional and practical support, fighting for children’s rights, and making sure no young person has to face their darkest moments alone.
My goal is to raise a minimum of £2,500, and every single pound will go toward helping young people feel heard, seen, and supported.
If you can donate, whether it’s £1 or £50, please know you’re not just supporting me. You’re helping change a young person’s life.
Please support my journey…with every kilometre I run, I’ll be carrying the stories of those who couldn’t.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.🧡
