Me and my friends have decided to participate in the race for those close to us who have been affected by cancer. In my case I unfortunately lost my grandad to cancer when I was younger his memories and the people that love him will live on forever, my other grandad is still fighting the battle with cancer and he is one of the strongest men I know I love him so so much and he knows it. The closest I have been hit with cancer would be when I found out my mum had melanoma in early January of this year which she had kept a secret since before Christmas as she didn’t want to ruin the holidays for me or my brother, no one really understands how hard cancer can be on not only relationships but also your mental health it is a cruel twist of fate that I would never wish upon anyone but it is the harsh reality so that is why I want to do everything I can to help people get the treatment they deserve even if it is a small contribution. My mum is the most selfless caring person ever and I know that no matter what she will fight this cancer until it is nothing but an after thought but to everyone who has lost someone close to them due to cancer my heart is with you and there are so many people that are raising awareness to this cause.
