Autumn Wolf Run - 10K · 14 September 2025

Annabelle's Challenge is raising awareness of Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (vascular EDS) to the general public and medical profession to help aid an early diagnosis and prevent misdiagnosis of vascular EDS and to support patients and families who are affected by the condition.

Story

Here at Broughton Astley Leisure Centre 15 staff and members will be taking part in the 10K Wolf run in September to raise money for Annabelle's Challenge!

Annabelle's Challenge is the leading charity for vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in the UK. At the heart of the charity is Annabelle, a brave little girl from Bury who is the inspiration behind our challenge to raise awareness and support for patients and families affected by vascular EDS.

Vascular EDS is a life threatening connective tissue disorder that affects all tissues, arteries and internal organs making them extremely fragile. Patients are at risk of sudden arterial or organ rupture.

The centre did a Wolf Run in 2022 for another charity and raised over £1000! Our cover photo of our fitness manager and receptionist enjoying the challenge, so we would love to raise as much, if not more this time around.

Please support us and donate anything you can so we can raise some money for a great cause!
