Story
The fundraiser was supposed to take part in 2024 when Richard Hayles’ mum (Angela) was fighting cancer.
Unfortunately then my mum (Jill Shanley) then suffered a seizure at home in September, which resulted in being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The surgery has been successful, then followed by a regime of Radiotherapy. With this we have told it cannot be cured but it can be treated going forward, and we are now being looked after at the Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital. A life saving facility !
This is our way of saying thank you to all the unit and staff who are just unbelievable! Without them this would be impossible.
We really appreciate anything that can be donated.
This page along with the fundraising event we are holding on the 22nd march, will be shared equally between Myton Hospice and The Aylesford Cancer Unit at Warwick Hopsital.
All our love always x x x x
‘At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.
Last year, we supported almost 2,000 people and their families, in our hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.’
