Story
Since March 2020 I have been growing my hair to donate to The Little Princess Trust (*see below for a little information about what they do). On Tuesday 29th August 2023 ALL of it (that's at least 21") will be cut off. And then I will finally send my hair off to be made into a wig for a child or young person.
Donating my hair is just the easy bit. Could you help me raise some money to go with it please? The cost of making a wig is about £550. So it would be great to raise some money towards turning my hair into a wig for a child or young person who has lost theirs.
I'm donating all of my hair, but I'm not asking you to donate all your money. Just a little bit, a bit you can manage without. Don't forget gift aid if you're a UK tax payer. Just a £1 donation will become £1.25. A £10 donation will become £12.50. Your donation then becomes that little bit more, at no extra cost to you!
Spectators/supporters are very welcome, in other words, please do come and cheer me on if you can! If enough people tell me they're coming I will make sure there's cake 😉
It's all happening at 11:30, Tuesday 29th August 2023, at Ellie Fitzgerald Hair and Beauty, Harpton Parade, Yateley.
*The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
