Story
This April, I’ll be standing on the start line of the London Marathon – 26.2 miles through our incredible city – with one clear goal: to raise awareness for the people dying from bowel cancer.
The general focus for bowel cancer prevention is awareness. But sometimes early awareness isn’t enough. For patients living with late stage bowel cancer, diagnosis often comes too late and the prognosis can be truly harrowing. Bowel Cancer UK is working to change this. They fund vital research, campaign for earlier and better diagnosis, and provide life‑changing support to patients and their families. Every pound you give will help them save lives.
Training for this marathon is tough: dark mornings, long runs after work, and pushing through when my legs and lungs are telling me to stop. But any discomfort I feel on the road is nothing compared to what people living with bowel cancer and their families go through every day. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
Your donation will help to:
Fund research to improve prevention, early detection and treatment
Support people affected by bowel cancer with expert information and guidance
Raise awareness of the symptoms so more people get diagnosed earlier
If you’re able to, please sponsor my London Marathon run for Bowel Cancer UK. No amount is too small – it all adds up and makes a real difference.
Thank you so much for your support and for helping me turn every mile into hope for those affected by bowel cancer.
