The JLT came up with an idea to raise funds to support the people who have been affected by Bangladesh emergency floods
We were looking for any donation if you would like for the efforts described below, any donation would be significantly appreciated and would go straight to the CAP foundation
Barking Abbey school as a community aimed to walk to Bangladesh from Barking 4963 miles on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th July! This involved pupils walking laps of the field and adding every year group together hoping it added to 4963 miles!
The result see below!
We did it!!!
We got to 1960 miles yesterday from Longbridge
The aim was 4963 miles
Yr7 LR did 655 miles (they had longer as form and P1)
Yr8 LR did 425 miles
Yr9 LR did 471 miles
Yr10 LR did 387 miles
After the incredible work yesterday every single person in BA community stepped up
Yr7 SR did 889 miles
Yr8 SR 781 miles
Yr9 SR 600 miles
Yr10 SR 402 miles
Yr12 505 miles
LR ARP 888 miles
Football academies in their games 112 miles
Plus 20 teacher miles (teachers walked in park yesterday!!!)
We got to 6157 miles!!!
Bangladesh Flood Respond
Cap Foundation have spent June & July implementing our 1ST PHASE of the flood response aid, delivering emergency food aid to 23 sub-districts, reaching a total of just over 75,000 beneficiaries.
2ND PHASE PLAN
Rebuilding Sylhet & Sunamgonj
To repair damaged houses, build new Tin shed houses and focus on long term self sustainable projects:
- Village Corner Shop
- Fish4Life Boat project
- Cash funds for families to invest on income generated projects.

£150 to provide Tin bundles and repair 1 small damaged house.
£75 For 1 Familys Household Essentials
