Story

To celebrate Mum’s 60th birthday, Nicola, Kez and Tom decided to run the Amsterdam Marathon on Sunday 19th October 2025. Since July, we have been training and, with just under 4 weeks to go, we are looking forward to the challenge.

Nicola’s cousin, Ady, was diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma brain tumour in April 2024 and has since been undergoing extensive treatment. Over the last few years, we have had other friends diagnosed with different types of brain tumour. This has made us very aware of the impact that these diagnoses have on the individual and their family/friends, and the need for improved and novel treatment.

To help, we want to use this opportunity to raise as much money as we can for The Brain Tumour Charity. It is the world's leading charity of its kind, and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, the charity is moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. They are set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change.

Thank you for any support that you can offer us!
