As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, we brighten the short lives of babies, children and young people who come to Rainbows. We want them to have fun and make special memories. We are also here to support their loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

On the 2nd November 2022 the Thomas family welcomed two beautiful baby boys into the world. Lennie said goodnight shortly after. Lennie's brother Reggie kept the family going through their grief.

Tragically 11 months and 16 days after Lennie's passing, Reggie also said goodnight and joined his twin brother.

Rainbows Children’s Hospice is the only hospice to cover the whole of the East Midlands, currently caring for over 750 babies and children (birth-25 years) with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. Not only does the hospice offer end of life support, they offer respite and short breaks, as well as bereavement support. Their mission is to transform care, relieve pain, and provide unwavering support to families, helping them create lasting memories and offering comfort during and after the loss of a loved one.

Why Your Support Matters

Rainbows Hospice still plays a crucial role in helping Mason, Hannah and their family navigate the immense grief faced. Their compassionate care allows the family to begin to heal, even in the face of immense heartache. By supporting, you are not only honouring Reggie & Lennie’s vibrant short life but also helping Rainbows continue their essential work.

The hospice needs around 12 million pound a year with only 13% of that coming from government funding. So every donation, no matter how small, contributes to providing the highest level of care and support to families like Mason and Hannah's.

Your generosity will help brighten the lives of many children and ensure that families have the support they need to navigate their most challenging days.
