On Saturday, 2nd August 2025, Barry and a team of 29 brave climbers will be reaching new heights by climbing up and over The O2 in London. Suspended 52 metres in the air, they will be conquering fears and taking in the speculator sights of London to raise funds for the charity EGFR+ UK.
EGFR+UK is the only UK group for families and patients affected by the gene-driven, EGFR+ lung cancer. The charity works tirelessly to raise awareness of EGFR+ lung cancer, and in doing so, help to save lives and improve outcomes for patients affected by this disease.
EGFR+UK promotes earlier diagnosis of lung cancer, including raising awareness of lung cancer in never-smokers. 6,000 people die of non-smoking related lung cancer every year; 90% of those diagnosed with EGFR+ are so at either stage 3 or stage 4.
By raising funds for EGFR+ UK, you will be helping to improve outcomes for patients with gene-mutated lung cancers.
