Bodyscape Dippers - 10k swim challenge

Barry Bridges is raising money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland
Cancer Focus Northern Ireland - we care for families affected by cancer with family support, counselling and other care services. We also do important cancer prevention work in schools, workplaces and communities, and fund ground-breaking research. All the money you donate stays in Northern Ireland.

Story

Six months ago, I had bilateral knee replacement surgery. Touch wood, my recovery has gone very well and I now feel ready for a challenge. Talking to some of my swimming buddies, we came up with the idea of attempting a 10k challenge. On Friday 15th May 2026, we are planning to swim 10,000m (500 lengths). As you can see from the picture, we have assembled an elite team of athletes who are going to take part in this sponsored swim. Our intensive training has been going well although some injuries have been reported - namely to head, shoulders, knees and toes. We are raring to go! All money raised will go to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, who are the charity partners of Bodyscape this year.

The Bodyscape Dippers would be delighted if you can support us in raising money for this very worthy local charity.
