Story

Every week, a group of friends get together for a game of football. It’s our chance to have a laugh, catch up and enjoy a bit of healthy competition.

But once a year, we turn our regular kickabout into something much bigger.

Our annual charity match is all about coming together to support a cause that means something to us. We swap our normal football kits for fancy dress outfits picked up from local charity shops, raise as much money as we can and spend the day doing what we enjoy most – playing football with our mates.

This year, we are proudly supporting the MND Foundation after one of our own sadly lost his mum to cancer although she was a huge supporter of the charity and hope we can do her proud by continuing to do so. Seeing first-hand the impact this cruel disease has on families has made this a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

Our theme for this year’s match is Goth chicks vs Hippie chicks, so expect questionable outfits, dodgy wigs and plenty of laughs along the way!

Our goal is to raise £500 for the MND Foundation. Every pound donated will help support people living with MND, provide support to their families and contribute towards vital research into finding better treatments and, one day, a cure.

No donation is too small. If you can spare a few pounds, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Thank you for helping us turn a simple game of football into something that can make a real difference.
