Story
ScotsCare has been supporting Scottish people in London for over four hundred years.
Founded in the early seventeenth century to assist Scots who had come to the city and found themselves in hardship, isolated, or without family support, it continues to focus on practical, dignified help.
Today, we support people of Scottish birth or descent living within 35 miles of Charring Cross, reflecting the belief that charitable work is most effective when it is clear, targeted, and grounded in real communities rather than spread so thinly that it loses impact. Hence why the focus remains true to the historical objects of the charity, namely Scots in London.
I am a trustee of ScotsCare, and I am running the Hackney Half Marathon to raise funds for its work. I see first hand how this focused approach translates into meaningful support at moments of real need, so if you are able to sponsor me your donation will go directly towards sustaining this work and helping ensure it continues.
