Young carers are a group of children under 18 who look after a family member or a close friend who has a disability, long-term illness, mental health problem or who is misusing drugs or alcohol.

There are limited resources for Young carers in Lewisham and they definitely deserve to be treated to some time that they are not thinking about someone else and increase their profile.

The annual donation from Base 13 can be used to take/buy them a cinema ticket/ a weekend away/ a contributions towards their own interest/ bowling evening/pizza. Etc Opportunities we should all have access to.

The donation would exclusively for Young Cares who live in Lewisham.vThis is an overlooked group and any donations would be greatly appreciated.

The donations can be accounted for by an end of year report.

There is very little social media presence as limited  resources are invested into this group of children. .If you haven’t heard of the Young carers then that’s ONE reason to vote for this amazing lot!

Any donation going to the Young cares group is 100% for them.
