The Foundation is dedicated to improving the educational access, quality and outcomes for children from under privileged backgrounds, those in low-resource environments, and those who are otherwise 'at-risk' due to poor health or nutrition.

Story

On Tuesday 10th of October, Glenn Dinnerville and I will be embarking on a sporting challenge to raise money for the Black Hearts Foundation.

I will be rowing a marathon on a rowing machine and Glenn will be cycling 80-90km on a static bike. We discovered the foundation through our activities for Black History Month which runs throughout October.

The mission of the Black Hearts Foundation is to improve educational access, quality and outcomes for young people from under privileged backgrounds in low resource environments, and those who are otherwise 'at risk' due to poor health or nutrition.

The Black Heart Scholars Program provides gap-funding for young people who would otherwise not be able to achieve their ambitions or potential through Further or Higher Education, whose challenges arise for many reasons, such as family hardship or socio-economic disadvantage.

Black Heart Scholarships directly contribute to a positive and rounded student experience, academic success without constant money worries and provides confidence to network and secure impactful employment.

To date they have over 600 scholars, 80% of whom are from Black, Asian and other Ethnic Minority backgrounds with our Board funding all of the overheads, this means that every single penny donated to the Foundation goes directly to the people we support.

Thank you for visiting our page and for donating.
