Story

Inspiring Words from Our EI Week Essay Contest Winner

Our son Jaden came into this world fighting. Born at 28 weeks and weighing only 2 pounds 6 ounces, Jaden needed lots of help if he was going to survive. Thats when a friend mentioned looking into New Jerseys Early Intervention System. We contacted the NJEIS and set up an appointment for Jaden to be evaluated. The best part about his initial evaluation wasnt just the relief we felt in hearing how he could greatly benefit from specific therapies, but that we instantly started receiving good solid advice on what we could do at home to help. Thats always been the most rewarding part about the NJEIS, the direction and guidance weve received from day one. Jaden just turned 2 last month, and now easily weighs around 30 lbs. Were able to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that as parents one of the best things we couldve ever done was make that call to the NJEIS.
