The 2025 Dumball Rally will see a band of intrepid War Child fundraisers take a fleet of old bangers to Majorca, in full fancy dress, covering over 4000km in 7 days.

Story

The Bass Bandits are hitting the road again and for the last time!

This May, Richard Ker, Andrew Ford, Chris Gibson and Aaron Cahill are taking part in the last ever Dumball Rally – a gloriously ridiculous charity road trip where we’ll be driving an old banger (with 170 other dumballers) all the way from Kent to Majorca in 6 days, dressed up, off-motorway, and probably running on caffeine and gaffer tape. Our "theme" remains a throw back to late 90's electronic dance and early 2000's drum and bass music, generally trying to pretend we are 22 again (probably with more aspirin and earlier nights along the way). Pictures of our car (Volvo 850 made to look like the flying brick rally car) and set-up (bass tube and all) as well as outfits to come soon/en-route.

It’s all for a fantastic cause – we’re raising money for War Child, a brilliant charity that supports children affected by war, of which there are far too many in the world right now. War Child helps provide safety, education, and a chance for a better future to some of the most vulnerable kids in the world.

Over the years, Dumballers have raised over £1 million for charity, and we’re hoping to add to that total this year. We were proud to be involved in the 2012 rally to Odessa, Ukraine (an even more poignant destination considering recent events) and the 2016 to Goa, India during which we raised a good few thousand quid each time. This time we head to Majorca via France, Andorra, Portugal, Spain and Gibraltar and hope to raise as much as possible for this great cause.

If you can spare a few quid to support us and this amazing cause, we’d be incredibly grateful.

When conflict erupts, War Child is there from the start, staying to support children through their recovery. They keep kids safe, help them learn and cope with their experiences, and equip them with skills for a brighter future. War Child understands children's needs, respects their rights, and puts them at the heart of the solution.

But they don't stop there. War Child campaigns for policy changes and works directly with children and young people to demand their rights.

Together with their partners, War Child delivers vital, life-saving work in countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.

Please give what you can and check back for our race updates!
