🐾 THE ADVENTURES OF BASTION THE BULLDOG! 🐾

Bastion the Bulldog is the much-loved mascot of the Standing Tall Foundation, a St Helens based charity helping people and families through some of life’s toughest challenges.

And now Bastion has a new mission… to raise as much money as he can to help support the vital work of the Foundation!

His first big adventure takes him to Epsom Downs Racecourse on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August 2026, where Bastion has been invited to take part in the annual Mascot Race. He’ll be joining mascots from across the country for a very special race to find out who is the fastest, the slowest and, most importantly, who can raise the most money for charity! 🏇🐶

Bastion is already taking his training very seriously… although we’re not entirely convinced he understands that this is a running race and not simply an opportunity to make new friends and get lots of attention! 😂

But behind the fun, there is a very serious purpose.

The Standing Tall Foundation provides free professional support to people aged 13 and upwards, helping people with issues including mental health, addiction, physical wellbeing, housing, benefits and welfare. The Foundation also provides specialist support to veterans and members of the Armed Forces community.

For someone struggling with their mental health, battling addiction, facing homelessness or financial difficulties, or simply feeling that they have nowhere else to turn, having access to the right support at the right time can make an enormous difference.

Every pound Bastion raises will help Standing Tall Foundation continue providing this vital support.

£5, £10, £20 or whatever you can afford can contribute towards counselling, addiction support, wellbeing activities and practical support for people who genuinely need it.

And Epsom is only the beginning…

Bastion has plenty more fundraising adventures planned, so this page will be his ongoing fundraising journey. We’ll keep updating it with his challenges, appearances, adventures, training and, hopefully, a few victories along the way!
