Bradford on Avon Vs Bath Combination
Bradford on Avon Rugby Football Club will host a special charity rugby match on Sunday 22nd February, kick-off 2:00pm, as Bradford on Avon RFC face Bath Combination, in support of MND
The match follows the recent diagnosis of former England international and Rugby World Cup winner Lewis Moody with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The event aims to raise vital funds and awareness for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
Lewis Moody’s involvement brings significant meaning to the occasion, highlighting both the impact of MND and the rugby community’s strength in coming together to support those affected by the disease.
Bradford on Avon is a club close to Lewis. After moving to Bath Rugby in 2010, he has called the town home and went on to don the black and red as a player post retirement as well supporting the club to grow behind the scenes as coach and DOR.
Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive, life-limiting neurological condition, and events such as this play an important role in funding care, research, and support services across the UK.
Players, supporters, families, and members of the local community are encouraged to attend what promises to be a competitive and emotional afternoon of rugby, united by a shared purpose.
