Story
Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is our Charity of the Year.
RDA is the only major UK charity focused specifically on the health and wellbeing benefits of bringing people and horses together.
Each year, they support over 39,000 disabled children and adults through activities like riding, carriage driving, and equine assisted programmes such as Tea with a Pony. The majority of participants are referred to RDA by a medical professional.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome, including those with physical and learning disabilities, long-term health conditions, and neurodiversity. With 24% of the UK population classified as disabled, RDA makes a lasting impact through the therapeutic power of horses.

“Everybody has their own difficulties, but when you’re on a horse, you can just be you. Being outside in nature, the physical aspect of working with horses and being in the moment can help people battling depression. The non-judgmental nature of horses helps rebuild trust and confidence in others again.” Bryony Moss, RDA Participant
