Raising Funds for PAWS-GIST because we need to improve treatment and find a cure

Story

On 11th May 2025 Kirsty, Hannah, Zoe and Sonjia will be taking on Battle Cancer- A high intensity fitness event where, for 90 minutes we will be pushed to our limits through strength, endurance and teamwork whilst hoping to raise some much needed funds for GIST Cancer UK's PAWS-GIST campaign.

As some of you may know, last year Ava (now aged 13!) was diagnosed with a GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour) after what felt like an endless back-and-forth between the GP and the several hospitals. Once she finally received the diagnosis, she had to undergo not one, but two surgeries to remove the tumour. Now, thankfully she is fighting fit physically, she’s facing five years of check-ups and a much longer journey of mental recovery.

Words cannot express how thankful we are to Jayne and everyone involved with PAWS-GIST for the amount of support, knowledge and understanding of this almost unheard of disease! And for that we would love to give something back!

Please, no matter how big or small, could you spare some pennies and sponsor us!?

Your donation will help to run the PAWS-GIST clinic, support PAWS-GIST patients and their families, and fund research into PAWS-GIST cancer.
