On Sunday 29th March 2026, Cathy and I be joining Velindre Charity Patron Shane Williams for a brand new event - the Devil In The Hills Bike Ride.

The 138 km route features over 1,887 metres of climbing as it carves through the breathtaking landscapes of the Bannau Brychieniog and Mynyddoedd Cambria / Cambrian Mountains, including one of the region’s most iconic and formidable climbs: The Devil’s Staircase!

We'll be taking part in this event with the aim of raising vital funds for Velindre Cancer Centre - a charity close to our heart.

Velindre Cancer Charity provides services above NHS provisions by investing in supportive care services, funding innovative technologies, and driving forward transformative research and clinical trials.

Each year, Velindre Charity dedicates £1.5 million of funding to pioneering research and clinical trials. Today, the charity contributes funding to over 40 active clinical trials.

Together, we will achieve Victory Over Cancer.
