Story
Hi cutie!
If you're here, you've found yourself in my lil corner of the internet where, surprise!! I've signed up for my first marathon ever!!!... unhinged, I know...
After two half marathons, it kind of felt like… ok, I guess it's time to do the full thing. I didn’t get in through the lottery, so I’m doin' it the old school way & fundraising for a charity spot :)
If you told me a few years ago when I first started running that I’d be here, I wouldn’t have believed you. It took me a while to get into it, but somehow it’s become something I really enjoy. Running is one of the few times I feel fully present — a mix of peace, clarity, and discipline, even when everything else feels chaotic. But more than that, it’s also become a reminder of how strong and capable I am. Every run reminds me that I can push through more than I think I can. I feel like everyone has that one thing that grounds them — and I’m grateful this has become one of mine.
The marathon will be in Sydney! — somewhere I’ve never been — which makes it even more special. But! I do need to hit a fundraising goal to secure my spot ~
I’m raising money for The True Athlete Project, which focuses on mental health and building a more supportive, inclusive sports culture. Sports (and movement in general) should feel accessible, safe, and empowering for everyone.
My goal is £1800, and I’ve broken it into milestones so we can track it together:
– first donation (we’re live!)
– 50% by end of May
– 75% by end of June
– 90% by August
– 100% by race week (non-negotiable so I can actually run 🥲)
If you feel called to support me, even a small amount would truly mean so much. & if not, cheering me on is just as appreciated 🫶
Thank you for being here and supporting me in all the side quests I decide to do lol
With love,
Chia ♥
