Brian and Jack’s fundraiser for Ediblelinks, Atherstone

BRIAN BAYLEY is raising money for Nuneaton & Bedworth Healthy Living Network

Three Peaks Challenge

Our aim is to get the local community healthy and active by providing activities and resources across Nuneaton and Bedworth. Ediblelinks uses food surplus to reduce poverty and diet related ill health. We do this by running a food bank and providing food to the community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Jack and I are attempting to climb the Three Peaks. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon during August and September.

We are fundraising for Ediblelinks in Atherstone.

To find out what they do, please read the following.

Edible Links is a part of the Nuneaton & Bedworth Healthy Living Network, whose charitable objectives are to promote, protect and improve physical and mental health and narrow the gap in health inequalities, of the inhabitants of northern Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. In particular, but not exclusively through the provision of activities that contribute to improving nutrition, wellbeing and disease management with over 12,500 beneficiaries per month, largely run by volunteers. Our Social Supermarket provides support to prevent food crisis, our Peoples Pantry a lifeline for older, vulnerable people providing a healthy balanced meal in community settings, and meals on wheels, we support over 200 Community Groups with provisions to enable them to offer refreshments and more. More than just food we work with people to improve skills, knowledge and confidence, access to other services and volunteering.

We receive no statutory sector funding to enable this provision and therefore need to constantly fundraise to survive.
