ANDYSMANCLUB facilitates groups where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their issues in a non judgmental environment through shared experiences. Groups run nationwide every Monday 7pm except bank holidays and are completely volunteer-led with no charge to any man.

Story

Across the weekend of the 4th-5th May, 6 of us from BDW Southern Counties division (Ben Woolman, Andrew Withey, Rob Dabbs, Julian Hodder, Craige Burden and Conor Edwards) will be taking on the 106km Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge in support of our chosen charity of the year; Andy's Man Club.

ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the UK and online.

The charity want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK

566 people in the construction industry lost their lives to suicide last year.

Across the UK in total, 4,500 men were lost to suicide, equating to one person dying every two hours. With additional funding, more centres can be opened to provide a necessary outlet for men struggling at work or at home to speak to people who can support them.

The challenge will takes us along the spectacular southern cliffs, past the iconic Needles and up to historic Cowes at the half way stop. Then onto historic Ventnor, and back to our welcome base camp in Chale.
