Bea's going to bike 88 laps of our local park (26.2 miles) for the Emmaus Big Marathon Month.

As you probably know I (Bea's mum) have worked for Emmaus for over 15 years and I'm super-proud that Bea wants to take part in the Emmaus Big Marathon Month to raise money to help people that have experienced homelessness.

Emmaus is different to a lot of the other homelessness charities in that it doesn't just provide a home, but also provides support, training, companionship and the opportunity to work in the furniture reuse social enterprises and also contribute to the running of the communities.

Whether it's going out on the vans for collections or deliveries, serving in the shops, or cooking for the community, everyone has a part to play, the chance to learn new skills and (I think maybe most importantly) a place to belong.

I may be a bit biased but I think it's an amazing charity and I've seen it transform lives, and have had the awesome privilege of being a part of so many companion journeys.

Please help Bea reach her target of £100 so that Emmaus can help more people.
