Story
Mike & Darryl aka Team Too Many Bears (better known for our cycling fundraising exploits) are proud to be amongst the people taking part in this unique trek representing Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) in conjunction with five other leading children's charities. This collaboration aims to maximise fundraising, raise awareness of hospice care for children and young adults, build community among supporters, and share expertise to enhance care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions and their families.
After arrival in Delhi and travelling to the stunning hill station of Dharamshala, the trek will commence into the Lesser Himalayan range of Northern India where, during four days of trekking amongst lush green forests with views of snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, gushing rivers and we will come across small villages with friendly and welcoming local people. The trek will see us reach a maximum altitude of 2875m at Triund, and will entail walking approximately around 6-8 hours each day, with temperatures possibly around 33°C. Not something we are used to, this trek will certainly be a challenge but the aim is to raise additional funds for CHSW, the charity we have been supporting for over 8 years now.
Children's Hospice South West provides hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.
Please help us reach our fundraising target to provide care and support to babies, children, young people and their families across the South West.
Thank you Mike & Darryl
