Beat Britannia - From the Mersey to the Solent · 15 June 2025

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Carnival UK’s very own ‘fab four’ will be leaving Liverpool on Sunday 15 June, running all the way down to Southampton, the home city of Britannia in an attempt to beat the ship back to port on Friday 20 June 2025. Covering over 230 miles, the team will be raising money for P&O Cruises partner of choice, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Saints Foundation, the official charity of P&O Cruises new brand partner, Southampton Football Club.

Samantha Cox, Martin Dove, Mark Price and Nicola Robinson will be powering past the towns of Chester, Telford, Tewkesbury and Swindon running in relay blocks of 13-15 miles each per day to cover a total of 55 miles in daylight, dawn to dusk.
