Story
On 21 September, Beatrice and Brodie are taking in an epic 10k challenge along the Thames to support children with disabilities in Africa. Please support them to achieve their fundraising target, in support of Able Child.
About Able Child
Nearly 29 million children in Eastern and Southern Africa are living with a disability. These children are more likely to be living in poverty. They are four times more likely to experience physical violence or sexual assault, and twice as likely to never attend school. They are being forgotten, hidden and left behind.
Able Child exists to change this.
Able Child works toward a world in which no child with a disability is left behind. They support a network of African organisations to protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities.
Working across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe they break down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive. Because all children are able.
