Warwick in Africa (WiA) was founded in 2006 with the aim of supporting secondary level teaching and learning. Our partner schools are located in disadvantaged areas of South Africa and Ghana, where education provision is often overstretched.

Story

Warwick in Africa is a charitable initiative run by the University of Warwick. It focuses on providing educational support to schools in Africa, particularly in Maths and English, to improve students' learning outcomes. The program fosters cultural exchange, empowers young learners, and gives volunteers valuable teaching and life experience.

I am fortunate enough to be going to Limpopo, South Africa where I will be teaching Maths.

In order to support Warwick in Africa continue to provide students at Warwick like myself the chance to volunteer, it would mean the world to me if you could donate toward the £1000 goal.

To demonstrate just the impact that the Warwick in Africa volunteer program has had, here are some outcomes:

- Over 500,000 learners have benefitted since 2006

- 76% improvement in learners' test results

- More than 3,000 teachers have been trained since 2010

I cannot thank you enough for your help!
