Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Beats Festival - Remembering Through Rugby

Join us on 1st & 2nd August 2026 at Bridgnorth Rugby Club for Beats Festival, a family-friendly celebration of life, Remembering Through Rugby.

This weekend brings the community together for rugby, music, fun, and family activities, while supporting an important cause. We’re raising funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young, which works to prevent sudden cardiac deaths in young people through awareness, research, and screening programmes.

The festival celebrates the life of Luke, a much-loved rugby player who tragically lost his life playing the sport he loved at just 15. Our fundraising target is £30,000, marking what would have been Luke’s 30th birthday, turning remembrance into something positive that could help save other young lives.

Every donation, big or small, helps us make this weekend memorable, meaningful, and life-changing. 🏉🎶💙

More about CRY..

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
