Story
On 23rd February, Holroyd Howe are stepping forward - 'twogether'
On the 23rd February, our team will be looking to 'BEAT the Ridge' by taking part in a walk along the Ridgeway to raise both awareness and vital funds for BEAT, the UK’s eating disorder charity.
Eating disorders affect 1.25 million people in the UK - friends, family members, colleagues, and students. They are often unseen and misunderstood - but the impact is real, and so is the need for support.
As school caterers, food is at the heart of what we do - but so is care. Every day, we work with young people during crucial stages of their lives, helping to shape not just eating habits, but attitudes toward food and health. That places us in a unique position, and gives us a responsibility, to raise awareness of what eating disorders are, challenge stigma, and encourage conversations.
By walking together, we’re showing our commitment to learning more and supporting those who may be struggling. The funds we raise will help BEAT continue their essential work: providing helplines, resources, and life-saving support to individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
Thank you for supporting our walk - every donation helps turn awareness into action.
